Two For The Price of One….

I’ve been working on two tags the past couple of days.  No its not taking me that long to make them but its taking me that long to get them done.  You know in between all the household duties, etc.  Each of them are very different.  One is vintage and the other is whimsical.  There are a couple of challenges I will be submitting them too (details at the end of this post).  Let me know what you think.  I really like how they turned out. :)  Remember to click on images to see a larger view.   Thank you so much for visiting!

DETAILS:  This tag was created to use every thing in my stash that has not been  shown love for a long time.  The main focus are the buttons.  My button stash has been building up but I seem to forget about them.  I have lots of green ribbon & I just wanted to use it in a different way by making the flower stems out of it.  The papers were bought about 2 years ago.  Newest item is the ric rac.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Look Who’s Excited About The First Day of Spring….

You may have guessed who it is but in case you didn’t its Tilda!  She is so happy that she is dancing around in all the Spring flowers in her yard.  Tilda hopes Spring has arrived for you.  And if it hasn’t yet weather wise just be patient because it will soon.

This card is a little different from what I usually make but I really had fun making it.  And Tilda has such a way that she makes me smile while I colored her.  Take a look and let me know what you think.

Note: The colors you see are actually the true colors.  I am very pleased with the way my camera picked up the colors so vibrantly.  You can click on the images to get a better view.

Tilda was colored using Distress Inks as the watercolor medium.  It is my very first completed DI Watercolor painted image used on a completed card.  I am currently taking a DI Watercolor Class over at Suzanne Dean’s Color Creative Classroom with Angie Hunt as the Instructor.  What a great class!

All papers and embellishments on this card are from my stash bin.  The only new embellishment is the ribbon (seam binding) that I gathered. I bought a 100 yard roll of white seam binding from Zipperstop.com.  I have even colored some of it to give away.  I used my homemade color mist to color it & it turned out lovely.   Ninety percent of my crafting supplies are bought from StampingScrapping.com.

I am entering this card in the following challenge: My Time Made Easy  called Pretty Patterns 01 and following the pretty pattern 01 sketch.

What Should I Make……

Tilda is wondering what should she make to take to her friends as a Hostess Gift when she goes for dinner.  I know that whatever Tilda decides it will be so yummy!  And as an extra treat she will be presenting the dish with a greeting card to show how grateful she is to have such good friends.

Here is the card Tilda ordered from me to present her homemade treat.
