Today is Flashback time where we share a project using designs from the past. I chose Birds In Spring. I used the Outline image but it comes in color too.
Details: My card is 6” x 6”. The card base is made from Neenah Card Stock 80#. If you never worked with Neenah paper you are missing out on a great product and so reasonably priced in the M5D Store.
The filigree mat is from the Silhouette Store. What I did was size it to fit on the pink mat and layered the image on the filigree mat. Then I used the print and cut feature. I colored the flowers on the image using Copic markers (RV04 & RV06). The leaves and birds were colored using Promarkers (Olive Green, Pear Green, Pastel Blue, Azure, True Blue, Canary Yellow, Peach, and the Blending marker).
I used papers from my stash for the flowers, leaves, and pink mat. The flowers were punched from the Retro flower punch in three sizes. The butterflies were punched using a Martha Stewart punch. Beads and Rhinestones are from my stash. Then I added clear Wink of Stella glitter brush to the birds, flowers, leaves, & the tree branch on the image. Everything is held together with the Best Glue Ever (name of glue). I accidently found this glue online and just had to try it. I love it because if you get glue where it shouldn’t be you just rub it away and its NON-TOXIC!
I hope you get a chance to go over to the M5D Blog to see all the other awesome creations. Thank you for taking the time to stop in on my blog.
Have a wonderful day! Fran
Another beauty Fran - love that filigree mat, it really makes the card look so striking, and takes the eye to the image.
