Below are photo images of a Basketball card I made for Hunter. He had a very good season since it was his first time playing basketball. I wanted to show him how proud we are that he did so well. So the card and a few goodies was our tribute to him. Oh! He loved the card and all his goodies.
I have a die that creates an easel to showcase your card. I had to cut it out two times on 100# cardstock in order for it to support the card. I loved how it turned out.
Hunter’s uniform was reversible. One side was yellow with blue trimming and the other side was blue with yellow trimming. He wore blue for his last game. His number was 14. I used Prisma colored pencils and gamsol to color the images. The image is digital created by Digi Stamp Boutique. And my inspiration came from Victoria Bailey for Digi Stamp Boutique. The papers are digital papers I downloaded from Etsy by MNINEDESIGNS and they were a vintage style. So to make it look more vintage I sandpapered the papers to give them an old look. The stars were silver metal so I colored them with a copic marker dark burnt orange. And covered them with Glossy Accents. The number 14 and the sentiment (congratulations) were cut on my Scan n’ Cut. And of course a little clear wink of Stella here and there.
This is the inside of the card using the vintage digital papers. The sentiment came with the Digi Stamp Boutique download. I used Paint Shop Pro to print the sentiment on the digital paper. The stars were die cut from cardstock and colored with a copic marker and sealed with Glossy Accents. I sandpapered the inside of the card too.
I really had fun making this card. And it makes it more fun making it for a grandson. If you have any questions about the card and/or the easel stand please feel free to ask.
Thank you for stopping by,
Fran
