Keeper of My Heart

There is a song that I love called Secret by Seal.  And in the song there is a line that says “I’m your heart’s keeper” and I thought what a nice sentiment to use on a card.  Well I didn’t want to use the exact line from the song so I changed it a little for my card and it reads “You’re the keeper of my heart”.  Isn’t it a perfect sentiment for a Valentine’s card?  Let me know what you think of the sentiment and the card.  Below the photos is information about the card.

The image on the card is a Digi Image by Karen’s DoodlesIsn’t the elephant precious? He was colored with Prisma color pencils and mineral spirits. The flowers are made from six individual hearts.  You can see how its done here (however I did not have the die that was used).  I cut six hearts using my Cricut and SCAL.  The centers of the flowers are buttons with twine bows. And if you look closely the edges of the flowers have Star Dust Stickles on each of the heart’s petals. The swirls (made with foil paper) have buttons on them too and their centers are rhinestone bling.  I also used a heart button with a twine bow to hold the front of the Easel card upright.  The two corners near the sentiment are decorated with more bling.  The color theme is White, Red & pink. And I forgot to mention that I used black thread for the string on the balloon to give it more dimension.  Plus all the bling on my card can be purchased at Stamping Scrapping.

I entered this card in the following challenges:

Karen's Doodles - Buttons Galore Challenge.

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny….

Yep that is what I will be sharing with you.  I have to say coloring this stamped image had to be one of the biggest challenges for me.  But it was a fun challenge.  And if you haven’t  guessed by now what I am talking about then let me tell you.  Its all about the Mini Magnolias.  Oh they are so cute but so little.  When I first got them I thought how am I going to use them.  I know they will be great on tags but I wanted to do something other than a tag. Then it came to me.  I will make a match box and decorate the top of it with one of my mini magnolia stamps.  Here it is! Let me know what you think.

Matchbox 1

My camera did not like this project. It did not pick up the colors on Tilda very accurately. She is so much prettier in person. Especially the color purple.

The swirl is from the Magnolia Doo Hickey Die. And I decided to gold leaf it.

Flower Power

I like to take this time to thank all of you who left me such beautiful comments on my Japanese Tilda  (Magnolia Stamp) card.  There is a little of you in that card because when I look at your creations I am truly inspired.

I created this card for a challenge over at SSCC.  Isn’t she a cutie?  She is called Mimosa Autumn Walk.  However, Mimosa is walking amongst beautiful flowers not Autumn leaves. And if you look at her closely you will notice the smile that says she is thinking of someone very special. Gee I wonder who it is.
