Christmas Card Series Set 5

These are the last of the Christmas Card series for 2018.  Making all the different style cards this Christmas season was very challenging for me yet it was also very satisfying.  I made a total of 43 Christmas cards and 4 pillow boxes to hold a monetary gift.  Below are the photos!

Thank you for all of your lovely compliments.  They are so appreciated!

BOO!

(FRONT)

Halloween Card-Inside-FB2018

(INSIDE)

I made two of this card for my grandsons with just little changes here and there. The other card’s inside has a cute zombie.  And the front of the card I placed the tree on the opposite side.

The RIP on one of the tombstones was my touch using an alphabet die.  And I used NUVO Orange Crystal drops on the front of the card.  Plus added a little Distress Oxide Ink to the hill.  And lots of glitter from a Wink of Stella brush pen. The background sky was colored using Distress Oxide inks in black and dark blue.  The ghost was a free download from the Internet and then I cut it out using my Scan ‘N Cut.

The grave yard scene  and the inside characters are dies I got from WISH.

(PILLOW BOX)

The bat wings and face was purchased from Lawn Fawn.  The die is currently retired.  The wings were made for a pillow box die sold on Lawn Fawn.  But I remembered that I had a pillow box on my Scan ‘N Cut so I cut it out after adjusting it to fit the bat wings.

Happy Birthday!

I made this card for my Step-daughter.  I really had fun making it using a new die I found on Wish.com (skirt and bodice).  And my Step-daughter loved it!  Plus I stamped flowers on the envelope and colored them.  I forgot to take a photo of the envelope Sad smile

Check out the Rhinestones.  I found them online and created a transparent image so I could add them to the photo.  I used Paint Shop Pro and it took me a while trying to remember how to make them transparent and add them to the photo.

Happy 9th Birthday

I made this card for my Grandson Levi.  I was running out of ideas on what style card to make him.  After searching for inspiration I found several cards using an Outer Space theme.  I knew he would love it.  I always wanted to make a space sky background using water colors.  I knew I would not have the luck to make it look like it should.  I found some digital background papers on Etsy.  I bought them and printed the one I liked best.

We celebrated Levi’s Birthday by going to his favorite restaurant.  And we had a great time!  And he loved his card.

Details:  Astro Suit Die (Memory Box); Outta This World Sentiment (Memory Box); Background Paper (Etsy); Rocket, Planet, and star dies from my stash.

Happy Birthday Nephew

My nephew’s birthday was last week and I sent him this card.  I thought the design and colors made a great masculine card. He called me to let me know he loved it!

That’s all that counts, right!?!  Winking smile

Sharing New Cards

Below are three cards I made using new dies from AliExpress and Wish.com.  I did not add any sentiments on the front/inside yet.  I am slowly adding to my card stash.

(The pale colors were not picked up in the photo as hoped.  I used pale pink for the card base and flowers.  And white cardstock for the floral border die.  It is so pretty in person.  I love the soft colors.)

Birthday Wishes

I have a childhood friend that I keep in touch with on special occasions.  Our fathers’ were childhood friends too.  And they were in the Army together.  When they married our Mothers’ became good friends.  Oh the fun we had growing up!   Oh she married a guy from my old neighborhood (small world).  They live in Delaware now and are loving it!

Side note:  She is exactly one week older than me.

I am going to spare you of all the details on how I made the card.  But feel free to ask me questions about the card and what I used to make it.  Lets just say that all elements were made from dies.  No stamping involved except for the sentiment inside.

Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are so hard to make for me.  And we needed one for a good friend from North Carolina who has been farming land on Chuck’s Family property.

I tried everything I knew when taking the photo to reduce as much glare as possible.

I guess it would have been easier if I didn’t use gold foil cardstock and gold washi tape :))

I belong to Spellbinder’s Small Die of the Month Club.  And for the month of February I received 5 border dies.  I cut four borders from one of the dies out of gold cardstock.  And laid  them evenly spaced on the card front.

I tried something new for me and cut a rectangle out of the front of the card.  Then I cut the “With Deepest Sympathy” Die from Wish.com  and placed it on the inside of the card.  I added a strip of gold washi tape on each side of the die since it was a little smaller than the rectangle die I used.  The “With Deepest Sympathy” die was cut from a very light pearlized gold cardstock.

The photo does not do it justice but I hope you can imagine all the gold shades used.

Birthday Card

This is the birthday card I made for my husband.  It gets harder and harder for me to come up with a masculine design.  I tried something different where the design could be for both masculine and feminine depending on the choice of colors.

The background, vine panel, and birds were all water colored.  I used distress inks on the background.  And Prima metallic inks on the vine panel and birds.

I love the bird dies because they are dimensional.

The dies used came from Wish.com.  The Birthday sentiment was cut out using Simply Defined Reflections Adhesive Sheets in Matte Gold.

Side note:  I didn’t notice how crooked the panel is on one side until I saw the photo.  Oh these old eyes, lol.

Happy Valentine’s

Below are two cards I created for my youngest Grandsons and Husband.    I made two of the first card for both Grandsons.  I kept it simple and easy.  All elements, Embossing folder, Sentiment stamp and Cardstock used are from my stash.

I was inspired by Penny Ward of Penny Ward Ink.com when she shared this card:

Valentines-Penny Ward

The second card was created for my Husband using my new dies from Spellbinder’s Small Die of the Month Club (Heart and Arrow).   The Sentiment stamp, Cardstock,  and small Heart punches used are from my stash.
