To My Surprise I Received This Award!

Jody thank you so much for this award.  I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw that you sent me an award. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.  This award is for someone to give extra attention to their blog so that more people are aware of it. So, the award is not given to people with hundreds of followers. Now, the rules of this award are to:

o Make a reference to the blog of the person from whom you have received the award (with a link). You can choose to pass the award to three to five other blogs, with a link.

o Leave a comment on your chosen blogs to let them know that they have received an award.

o You do not have to accept the award on your blog or you can specify from whom you have received the award.  Nothing is required! So, in the spirit of giving, I've chosen:

Tilda With Three Flowers

I wanted to try something different so I chose to make the Twisted Easel fold card.  I really like how it makes up.  And I wanted someone very special to be on the card front so I chose Tilda with Three Flowers. I chose one of my favorite color combinations to use on Tilda (shades of blue & yellow).  I think she looks so cute with the scarf on her head, some sparkle on her dress. And a little sparkle in her eyes.  Plus I even used paper that gave Tilda more sparkle.  Its called Cryogen Iridescent.  You can really see the sparkle on the close up view.

Recipe for this card:  Tilda was colored with Prisma pencils and Copic markers. I used the large oval nestibility to pop up up Tilda.  Flowers came from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Butterfly punch & Floral Bed Deep Edge Punch by Martha Stewart.  And double ruffle ribbon from Ribbons & Bows Oh My (RABOM).  Pattern paper from stash.

I entered this card in the following challenges:

Kaboodle Doodles – Fold new to me or rarely used.

   Tuesday Throwdown – 3-D (pop-it-up)

   Magnolia Stamp Lovers – Pastel

   Whoopsi Daisy – Someone Special

Flutter by Wednesday – Open Challenge

Have a nice day!  Fran

Valentine Angel Ornament

I’m just a few days behind but better late than………
I have a copy of the Christmas Edition of Magnolia Ink Magazine.  And on page 71 there is template for a Christmas Tree Decoration that I wanted to try to make but never found the time around Christmas. So I made one for Valentine’s using the same image stamp---Tilda with Hanging Heart.  I used her for my Valentine Angel Ornament.  Isn’t she sweet?
Colored with Copic markers. Angel Dust Art Glitter on wings, ribbon, & roses. Remaining elements from personal stash.  Click on photos for larger view.
