You’re Tree-mendous!

Well the last two days here in Maryland were a little cooler.  It only got in the mid 80s but we are supposed to get more hot, hot weather again before the week is out.  I hope it is cooler where you live and if not I hope you are staying cool.  Now down to the real business :)

My card today used the following sketch.  If it looks familiar its because we got to do one of our favorites again and I chose this one.

Pretty Patterns 03

And I came up with this layout:

You Are Treemendous Card

The image and sentiment I used is from the Tending The Garden Digital Stamp Set and this set has 50 images - yep you read it right -  it has a total of 50 images including the sentiments.  There are so many different possibilities just in this one set.  I really loved the Tree image and thought how neat it would look with Flower Soft (additional details below).

Check out the My Time Made Easy Store and see all the great digital stamp sets.  And if you never used a digital stamp go here for a tutorial titled Working with Digital Stamps by Terri Moore. Check the other tutorials too!  And if you have additional questions feel free to send me an e-mail with your question.

You want more inspiration?  Well go check out the awesome creations from the other Team members on the MTME Blog.

Additional details: The Flower Soft used on the tree image is called Heather.  The tree trunk has Sparkly Fluff (Brown Sugar) on it.  The papers are from my stash and the name of the stack is Urban Rhapsody.  Added a little bling using some dew drops and soften it all with the pretty bow & ribbon.  The edges on some of the paper was stained with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a Fuchsia ink mixed together to get a darker maroon to match the background paper.

Have a wonderful day!

Crazy For Popcorn

I’ve been in a popcorn snack frenzy lately and its carried over to my creations.  So today I bring you a card with (you guessed it) popcorn on it.  This is my second popcorn card in about 3 weeks.  I better find some other snack soon, lol.

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration from My Time Made Easy.

Darling Marcie

I was missing my Copics so I decided to use my Digi Stamp of Darling Marcie by La-La Land Crafts and color her.  Oh its been a real long time since I colored with Copics but its like riding a bike.  No matter how long you’ve been away the technique of using Copics comes back (after a few mistakes) lol.  Let me know what you think of my Darling Marcie card. Papers used are the Fairy Flora Collection by Prima.  This collection is awesome. The prints and colors are so soft almost like watercolors.

Check Out Eddie the Elephant

(Looking for Jake the Skate Boarder?  You’re at a the right place but you need to scroll down past this posting of Eddie).

Eddie is the classic circus elephant.  You can see in his face how much fun he is having on his bike.  He is one of the attractions at the Big Top but I caught him riding around the circus grounds greeting every one.   That Eddie is a character.  What do you think?

Here is the new MTME Sketch for this week.

MTMEPPS17

Isn’t this a great looking sketch?

This week I thought I do something a little different and incorporate the sketch at the same time.  I chose to make a cute box using a template from MTME.  The template is called Wonderfully Wrapped and you can get it here.  Check out my take on this sketch.

Have faith, Do Not Despair

Today I bring you another first for me.  Its my first white on white card.  You might think what can be hard about creating a card all in one color.  Well I learned it is a little more challenging in different ways..  The two main issues for me were taking a picture and keeping it cleaned.  But I want you to see the end result.  And I would love if you left a comment to let me know what you think.
