Happy Thursday!

Today brings a new Sketch and a new card.  Who knew that being “sketchy” could be so much fun.  Please follow me to find out all about this week’s sketchy business and more about participating in the weekly sketches.

Here is the Pretty Patterns Sketch and the details for this week:

Pretty Pattern 04

Sketch Keyword will be MTMEPPS04

Please feel free to use this week’s sketch on any project of your choice.   While participation with products from My Time Made Easy ™ LLC is appreciated, it is not required to participate.  You can use any products from any company.  Each week a winner will be picked from the sketch participants, and announce them the following week, when the next Pretty Patterns Sketch is announced. The sketch month will run from the 2nd Thursday of every month to the 2nd Wednesday of the following month. And the winner is announced that 2nd Thursday of the Sketch Challenge.

For example:
This month’s contest began Thursday March 17th. Contest ends Wednesday April 13th. Winner announced Thursday April 14th.

PRIZE PACKAGE: Whoever plays along all month, in all 4 sketches within the month, will be entered to win a Pretty Package of THEIR Choice! Make sure on the 4th week of the challenge, that you leave a comment linking all 4 projects as well, so we are sure we do not miss you!

Now let’s see what I did using this week’s sketch as my guide.

The past couple of days have been real gloomy and rainy and I needed something to cheer me up and to bring lots of color in my world.  And I thought using a theme of cheerful colors I went with a Get Well Card that will certainly bring a smile to its recipient.

Supplies: Additional paper by DCWV (Café Mediterranean), Scallop punch by EK Success, Scallop Borders punch by Martha Stewart, Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Sentiment is computer generated, Stickles (Lime Green) by Ranger, & ribbon from personal supply.

As you can see I have lots of different elements on my card that made me feel so cheerful.  Notice the pretty butterfly?  I used one of the butterflies from All A Flutter Digital Stamp which has 25 images in the package.  And then I colored the butterfly using a beautiful array of digital papers from Citrus Peel. Oh the colors in this package are truly awesome & very cheerful!  Here is a close-up of the butterfly wearing two of the cheerful papers.

I wanted the sentiment and butterfly to be the focal point of my card.  So I made a wired spring and attached it to the scallop circle.  Here is a closer view.

I wish you could see the card in person with the beautiful butterfly perched so gracefully and the sentiment springing in to action.

I hope this will get you sketchy too!
