How’d that happen?!

My first card using Inktense Water-soluble Ink Pencils.

Techniques:  1. Apply water over dry pencil to create a vivid translucent wash.  2. Create an outline with a non-soluble pencil, add color with the Inktense then apply a light wash.  3. Work directly onto wet silk to create beautiful vibrant silk paintings.

I used technique 2 excluding the outlining of a non-soluble pencil.  I used the colored pencil itself by coloring the edges of the image and then applying a light wash. “Pencil to ink in just one wash. Once dry the color is permanent and can be worked over without affecting the layers of vivid color.”  Very different from Prisma Colored Pencils using the Gamsol technique.

They are my new obsession, lol.

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think of the coloring using the Inktense Pencils.
