Happy 11th Birthday

I made this card for my Grandson who will be 11 yrs. old very soon.  No matter how many times I make masculine cards I still find it to be very challenging.

I used black cardstock for the base of the card.

The front panel is made out of silver foil cardstock.  I used a Tim Holtz’s Texture Fades embossing folder called Riveted Metal.  The Gears Frame and Gears were cut from black foil cardstock. And the Gears Frame and gears were cut from a new die bought from Wish.com.  The Happy Birthday sentiment die is from Paper Smooches (Birthday Words).

The inside of the card I used silver foil cardstock for all the tools.  A couple of the handles on the tools was cut from real wood paper. The tool box was also cut from real wood paper and then colored with colored pencils for dimension.

The tool box die is from the Frantic Stamper Inc. The tools were cut from two different dies: Handy Man Tools (Memory Box) and some from dies purchased from Wish.com.

I used glitter card stock for the balloons and the number 11.  The balloon strings were cut from silver foil.

I was having so much fun adding the tools and balloons to the inside of the card that I ran out of room for a sentiment and signatures.  So I used the back of the card to add more balloons to hold a sentiment, signatures and the date.  This is a first for me and not sure if I like it but I am sure Hunter will love it!

Thank you for stopping by,

Fran
