Just Around The Corner

Can you believe that 2011 is just around the corner.  Where does the time go?!  I like to make sure I am ready for the New Year by having a 2011 calendar on my desk.  I was inspired by a project I saw on You Tube.  You can see it here: Rectangle Coaster Calendar

I like to apologize for the bad photo.  I tried over 20 times to get a good one but my camera was not cooperative.  The calendar is made using 2 rectangle coasters. They are attached by the ribbon you see at the top edge.  This enables the calendar to stand on its own.  Here is the “recipe” for this calendar:  I used Mariposa paper to cover the outside of both coasters.  Inside of calendar is covered with complimentary paper.  The flowers were a perfect match for the paper (Prima-Gallery Roses Marcel). Butterflies were punched from a MS punch and then covered with glitter.

Here are two more I made.  Although it may appear that the flowers on them are too big they really look pretty darn cute.  And match perfectly.  The flowers you see on them were handmade by me.
