Happy Thanksgiving!

My project today is brought to you by McMahon Five Designs Blog. The design team was given so many beautiful Thanksgiving/Autumn digital images to choose from and I had a hard time picking what I wanted to do.  Here is a picture of the images I picked for my project.  You can buy all these beautiful images at the McMahon Five Designs Store.

I fell in love with the cornucopia but I wanted to do something a little different.  So I used Paint Shop Pro and colorized the entire cornucopia using a gold shade.  Then I used one of the sentiments above and layered it on top of the cornucopia.  I used black ink for the sentiment but I put a green shading behind the sentiment to give it dimension.  Then I printed it on frosted vellum paper.  It really is so much prettier in person.  My camera just could not capture the beauty of it all.  Then I made a card in SCAL using a pumpkin shape.  I cut it out on my personal cutter.  On the stem of the pumpkin I added real Wood Paper that you can purchase from McMahon Five Designs Store. You just have to check out this paper and see all the neat things you can make with it

I cut two smaller shaped pumpkins and added them to the top of the main pumpkin with foam squares for dimension.  The leaves around the stem were cut using Spellbinders Shapeabilities (nested maple leaves).  The paper for the leaves is by DCWV Autumn Splendor stack.  Then I added a few wire tendrils.  Note:  The pumpkins are made from Coordination’s Paper.

  1. Fran this is a beauty - love how you got all the dimension in the printed section and the thought to mount it on a pumpkin shaped card was inspired.
