Happy Birthday!

My brother-in-law loves cars and he just celebrated his 67th Birthday.  I wanted to make him a card that showed one of his interests.  He loves cars!  So I found a black and white image of a TR7 popular back in the 70s.  Any one who makes their own cards knows how difficult it is to come up with a masculine card.  I should be an expert because I have a husband, 4 grandsons, brother-in-law, 1 nephew, and 4 great nephews.  With all those males in my small family you would think its easy for me to make masculine cards.  However, I still have problems coming up with something appropriate.  Anyway below are two photos of the card I made for my brother-in-law.

Details:  Paper used is double sided and the colors are a very deep brown, tan, & gold.  The car image was black and white but I aged it using a sepia tone in Paint Shop Pro.  The Key is from the Silhouette Store.  Both the key and car image was distressed using Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad by Ranger (Tim Holtz).  The tie is a polyester ribbon that has a look of suede.  Great for masculine cards.  And the corners inside and out were cut out using my Silhouette Portrait.  The sentiments are hand written.  I wanted to add a real personal touch to it.  Let me know what you think?

Thank you for stopping by,

Fran
