My Project

Details: I picked the Blue Rose for no special reason except that I love this color blue a lot. It took several steps to achieve the look I wanted. Although you cannot tell the rose and the sentiment were placed separately. Using Paint Shop Pro I selected the blue rose and sentiment. I then deleted the rose and kept sentiment in the exact position. I sized it to fit in the light blue frame.
I opened the single blue rose using my Silhouette Portrait and following the instructions I used the Print and Cut feature to cut the Rose out. Then I added dimensional foam pads to the back of the Rose to give it dimension. Its hard to tell on the photo but it really looks neat within the frame.
The Filigree Frame was cut purchased from the Silhouette store and sized to fit on my card base which measures 5-1/2” by 6”. I do want to tell you it was beginners luck getting the frame to fit the card and my Rose Design. It took me two tries to get it right. I also had a rolled rose pattern from the Silhouette Store and I cut it out using the same card stock of the frame. The two roses on the sides of the rolled rose are from my stash, I added Ice Blue Stickles to the edges of the flowers that really matched the blue rose perfectly. Oh and the leaves are from stash. I always cut several out so that I have them for projects. All I did was give them a pinch for dimension.
When you have digital images so perfectly created it makes it so easy to create a project that is very pleasing to the eye. And best of all the rose is already colored so it saves you so much time when you need an image to add to your card.
For those of you that shy away from using digital images (like I did at first) you need to give them a try. If you have WORD on your computer you can use it to size and print the images out. But if you need help in how to use digital images please contact me and I would be glad to help you even if you do not have WORD on your computer. There are other free programs that you can use. Let your imagination guide you.
I would love it if you stopped by the McMahon Five Designs Blog and look at the beautiful creations by the other Design Team members. And thank you for stopping by my blog.

Please pray for my nation - we are being rocked with earthquakes, and have been for some 6 hours now - although I am not directly affected, there are many that are.
