Christmas Cards 2015

(Idea for this card came from catherinestamps, Catherine Pooler)

Merry Christmas

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

These cards are two samples I created using new products that gave me the incentive to create my Christmas Cards this year.

My favorite medium is water coloring.  The backgrounds on both cards were created using a new product (for me) called BRUSHO Crystal Colours by ColourCraft that produces an unique water color effect.   All you do is sprinkle the crystals on water color paper and spray with water.  The colors are very vivid so very little of the crystals goes a long way. The first card I used Cobalt Blue and the second card I used Turquoise.

(I wish my photography skills were better because the cards are so vivid and beautiful in person).

The new dies used:  Funky Christmas Tree Die by Whimsy Stamps, Large MERRY word die by Whimsy Stamps also.  The die Merry Christmas Tree is by Memory Box.

Although I didn’t share the inside of the cards I used a new stamp set called Sentiments by Neat and Tangled.  I chose the Happy New Year sentiment for the inside. And sprinkled with snowflakes that matched the glitter paper on the front of the card.

From my stash: Glitzy Glitter Cardstock Stack by DCWV.  Water Color paper (140 lb.) by CANSON.  Card Base made from Recollections Cardstock Paper (110 lb.).

Happy Holidays!

  2. What wonderful cards Fran - I am so glad you are back creating again with these fabulous results. The die cuts are beautiful against the backgrounds.
The Brushos look fantastic and I am hanging out to buy some, when I can find somebody who sells them in NZ! :-)
