A Little Flower Soft Can Make Your Card Bloom

Some Things Old To Make Something New

 

I was in the mood to make something a little different so I pulled out my Tim Holtz style tag, some distress inks, a 3 year old rubber stamp (never used), a piece of ephemera, a feather and some seam binding. And this is what happen.  Oh and a staple using my EK Success Staple Fastenater  that is way older then the stamp.

I used three shades of distress inks (spiced marmalade, dusty concord, crushed olive) to get the colors on the tag.  Then I used Vintage Photo on the edges of the tag and the travel ticket.  I own only one color of seam binding (winter cream).  And when I use distress inks or other type ink pads I will color the seam binding to match my project by just running the pad portion on the seam binding.  In this case I use all three of the distress inks mentioned earlier.  So what do you think?

Last week I made a School Theme card with a little boy on it.  So I thought it would be nice to make another one with a little girl.  And as she walks to school she begins to dream of what she wants to be when she grows up.  I am going to guess and say she probably wants to be a Fashion Designer.  What do you think?

Two Peas, Three Peas In a Pod?

Dear old golden rule days……

Too Cute To Spook

 

Today I am sharing with you my latest card I created for my debut as a new member of the Cutters Creek Design Team.  I know this may sound a little corny but I had the most fun making this card.  I used two digital images as my main focus.  The background image is from Make It Crafty.  And the sweet little girl image is from La La Land.  You can read more details about the card over at Cutters Creek Blog.

Ta Da!

 

Did I get your attention?  I sure hope so.  I’ve been making cards lets see for about 2 years now. And on this journey I have collected a great number of rubber and clear stamps (which I love using).  But nothing has surprised me more about how much I love working with Digital Stamps.

Now how many digital stamps can you collect?  Well as many as you like because you can save them on your computer.  And the best part you can re-size them to fit any size card.  So with that said I love to challenge you to create your next card using a digital stamp.  And if you don’t have any you can stop over at My Time Made Easy (MTME) and check out all the awesome digital stamps and papers. 

Todays card has both digital stamp called Be Strong & paper called Blooming With Elegance on it.  And the flower (more detail below) on the card was made with some of the background digital paper.  Then I cut two butterflies from the paper for my card.  And with some help of a little bling & more paper this is what I created.

The sketch below was part of our challenge but I deviated somewhat because my mind’s eye just saw something different.  It happens sometimes. :)  And its an easy sketch to follow. So come on let me see what you can do with the sketch.

 

Flower Close-Up

I took one of the digital papers from Blooming With Elegance that had various sizes of flowers on it. I cut three flowers out.  Then I spritz them with Perfect Pearls crinkled them up & let dry.  Once dried I opened each flower very carefully so not to tear.  Glued them together & added a pearl colored with a copic marker (Duck Blue) to match the shades in the flower.
